We Are… Penn State Alumni and Phi Kappa Psi Alumni. Samantha and Matt Collins, owners of Happy Valley Home Cookin’ studied Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management right here at Penn State and have over 10 years’ experience managing both private and corporate restaurants as well as other types of food service operations.

Our experiences give us the background needed to run an efficient and affordable program while still providing a higher level of service than is currently being experienced at Penn State. We understand the challenges associated with operating in a fraternity house and look forward to raising the level of expectations for fraternity food service here at PSU.
Happy Valley Home Cookin' was born from a strategic partnership with Nittany Co-Op. For years, the co-op operated under its former name, Fraternity Purchasing Association, and handled the business end of many member organization's food services. Happy Valley Home Cookin' has stepped in and with the assistance of Nittany Co-Op looks to offer their members a new, higher level of service. Happy Valley Home Cookin' is not just another foodservice operation, but rather a full-scale kitchen and chef management organization offering hiring and placement services as well as a local, on-site management team. All costs associated with payroll processing, employment taxes, and insurance are included with the purchase of a Happy Valley Home Cookin' meal plan.
